About the journal
The scope of the International Journal of Urological Nursing (IJUN) is to advance the profile of urological nursing in the UK and encourage urology nurses to publish. IJUN is an international peer-reviewed Journal for all nurses, non-specialist and specialist, who care for individuals with urological disorders.
It is relevant for nurses working in a variety of settings: inpatient care, outpatient care, ambulatory care, community care, operating departments and specialist clinics. The Journal covers the whole spectrum of urological nursing skills and knowledge. It supports the publication of local issues of relevance to a wider international community to disseminate good practice.
Subscription to the online Journal is included in BAUN membership and you can access the journal by logging into the members section of the website.
While the journal is a quarterly publication, articles will be published online each month as they are approved by the Journal editors.
Open access papers are published within this journal for all to view.
The International Journal of Urological Nurses is co-owned with John Wiley and Sons, the appointed publisher of the Journal.

Submissions – taking the first step
The Editors welcome papers on practice, research, education or management which contribute to the development and understanding of all aspects of urological nursing. These papers will reflect all areas where urology nurses practice as well as areas which complement or are an extension of the urology nursing role. These will encompass general and specialist hospitals and the community. They will address issues which effect both adult and paediatric patients focusing on current clinical practice, education, care delivery systems and public policies.
